Initially, I assumed it was fixed in the most recent version of Sling Models,
as I wasn't able to reproduce it in AEM 6.3, however it does seem to happen for
ServletResources.

The problem occurs when you call the
AdapterImplementations.getModelClassForResource method on a Resource has a
ResourceType which resolves to the same resource. This causes an infinite
regression and eventually a stack overflow exception.
