Another day, another patent license agreement, on the anti-spam standards track. ;)
Yahoo! have filed the IPR disclosure with the IETF regarding the current DKIM draft. it's here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/public/ipr_detail_show.cgi?&ipr_id=627 'Yahoo! plans to license its Necessary Patent Claims contained in the patent applications disclosed above under two separate license agreements, one of which will be a modification of the DomainKeys Patent License Agreement (v1.1), and the other will be the GNU General Public License (v2).' FWIW, the 'DomainKeys Patent License Agreement v1.1' is here: http://domainkeys.sourceforge.net/license/patentlicense1-1.html I'm not sure how the GPL is relevant -- but then, IANAL, so what I think is irrelevant anyway. ;) I think we still need to wait for the promised 'modification of the DomainKeys Patent License Agreement (v1.1)' before we can get our legal people to make a pronouncement though. --j.
