In that case the complaint is about a logged error message when the attempt was made to change the hostname while not running as root. That is an interaction between Mail::SPF::Query and a bug in Sys::Hostname::Long for which the only good solution is to upgrade to the latest version of Sys::Hostname::Long or if that doesn't help let the maintainer know which OS is still showing that problem. But the symptom is minor, an unnecessary error message in the log. Comment #45 is complaining about something that is supposed to be fixed, which is the triggering of this problem in SpamAssassin's make test when it is run as root.
