Summary: Incorrect parsing of Received from [$IP_ADRESS]
(helo=...) headers when not from Exim
Product: Spamassassin
Version: SVN Trunk (Latest Devel Version)
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Libraries
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The following Received header is not parsed in Received.pm
Received: from [83.100.34.114] (helo=a_domain_from_us.de)
by mx.kundenserver.de (node=mxeu2) with ESMTP (Nemesis),
id 0MKpdM-1EeYsa381l-0005St for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Tue, 22 Nov 2005
15:12:17 +0100
but if it says ESMTP (Exim) instead of ESMTP (Nemesis) then it is parsed
correctly.
The header seems to be RFC822 conformant. I will attach a patch that removes the
special casing of this format for Exim, recognizing it coming from any MTA.
