I'd imagine it is, but it'd > >be nice to know for sure. <delurk> I've been having this problem in 3.1.0 (tarball), starting with tcp timeouts in SpamdForkScaling.pm, then "prefork: select returned undef! recovering", and finally "prefork: syswrite(7) failed, retrying... at /usr /lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/Mail/SpamAssassin/SpamdForkScaling.pm line 554." which would totally paralyze spamd and require a restart. I wasn't able to get the first set of patches to work, but the aggregate against 3.1.0 (tarball) worked fine. spamd has been running clean all day with the new patch in place.
