Sometimes the following condition occur - several messages
"spam acl condition: error reading from spamd socket: Operation timed out"
then several
"__alarm__"
number of children abnormally grow rapidly
"prefork: child states: BBIBBBBBBI"
then hundreds of perl errors (different from time to time) like
"Use of uninitialized value in join or string at....."
perl memory usage grow, and mail server become nearly unresponsive
After about 30 minutes the server become working without any intervention.
