There was some talk a couple weeks ago about the zone going up and down
a lot.
To confirm the outages reported by Nagios a little while ago...
- a port scan shows ports 22, 25, 53, 80, 587, 873 and 4045 open, so the
virtual machine is at least sort of up
- ssh to the zone dies with:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] dos]$ ssh spamassassin.zones.apache.org
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
- telnet to port 25 never gets a banner
- DNS server is actually responding (refuses a chaos query)
- HTTP to port 80 never returns anything
- telnet to port 587 never gets a banner
- telnet to port 4045 doesn't return anything... I'm not sure what's
running on that port, lockd maybe?
