Yeah, it should really use alarm 0, then alarm $oldalarm like M::SA::Timeout
does... or beter just use M::SA::Timeout.
This is working though and preventing major breakage... and I think
M::SA::Timeout will actually suffer the same problem, pre-patch, of empty error
values under load.
