Yeah, dang it, I see the problem... sa-update assumes that the channel pre and
cf files exist if the updatedir already exists. However this assumption is
false in two ways:
1) the updatedir can exist if people use --updatedir, and the pre file wouldn't
already exist.
2) if sa-update doesn't see a need to write out a pre or cf file (ie: they'd be
empty), it doesn't, so this will always happen with the current updates
channel. ;)
Crap! I'll put in a kluge for the channel shortly (empty pre file), and will
have a patch here in a minute.
