There are a number of enhancements made to ArchiveIterator in trunk that
are needed for the rule-qa system to work in the 3.1.x branch (bug 4982).
They are:
- the AICache caching subsystem
- support for the combined --head/--tail combo, to select subsets of the message
range
- more verbose "showdots", required so that buildbot doesn't time out on really
large corpora
- the new index format for the intra-child IPC
the file is pretty self-contained, so this doesn't look like it'll affect other
files outside of ArchiveIterator.pm and AICache.pm. patch to follow...
