Summary: website should link to SVN for "full" trees
Product: Spamassassin
Version: SVN Trunk (Latest Devel Version)
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P5
Component: Building & Packaging
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
the ASF have a (quite sensible) rule stating that the built HTML of the
website needs to be checked in, which allows infrastructure to simply
"svn co" if they need to rebuild spamassassin.apache.org.
however, we also keep the entire b3_1_0 branch, built, visible at
http://spamassassin.apache.org/full/3.1.x/ -- so every time a change
is made, that needs to be rebuilt, and re-checked-in in toto. these
are massive checkins.
it would be great if we could just check in the stuff that *needs* to be
built -- the "doc" tree -- and for the rest, linked to the SVN http
view instead of checking it all in.
