It was revealed on the users' list that the children are doing bayes auto
expiries.
In the future... spamd needs to prevent too many children from trying to do
bayes expiries at once to prevent this from happening, but until then, disabling
auto expiries with bayes_auto_expire 0 and doing the expiries via cron works
for me.
