Howdy,
With Justin busy I figured I'd take on the task of driving project ideas
and what not, getting them onto the wiki and sending out notices to the
users mailing list.
What I'd like to do is get a list of folks willing to mentor.
No takers? Time is starting to run out. It really is pretty easy.

I have no "ideas" for new projects for SA. But guess I could be a mentor
if needed. Hopefully it does only take a couplee hours a week since my
$dayjob seems to be picking up, be that as it may, I can help out.
Mentoring is pretty easy, for me it took less than an hour a week last
summer and you end up with a t-shirt.
Any committer can be a mentor, to sign up go here:
http://groups.google.com/group/google-summer-of-code-announce/web/guide-to-the-gsoc-web-app-for-mentors-and-organization-administrators
and just follow the instructions.
Then reply to this email so we know who all is signed up.
I'll be updating the project idea list here:
http://wiki.apache.org/general/SummerOfCode2007
moving projects over from last years list and adding some new ones.
Feel free to update the Possible Mentors field if you have an interest
in mentoring a project.
If you have any ideas feel free to add them to that page and of course
add yourself as a possible mentor to any projects you'd like to
participate in.
Michael
I just signed up, now to read some stuff on what it is I signed up for! HAR!
