Summary: Under load, connections to postgres server spiral to
                    300+
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.1.7
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: FreeBSD
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P5
         Component: spamc/spamd
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
                CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

We have the score information stored in a postgres database. We are not using
bayes in the database. Under load, we see connections spiral to 300+ postgres
connections. These connections do not go away. I do not see errors in the log,
the database connections simply build up.

To correct the problem, stop spamd, and removing the bayes* files then
restarting spamd solves this problem.

spamassassin server - 4gb ram, intel quad core 2.4 cpu,freebsd 6.2
postgres server - Xeon 2.4/HP,2GB ram

Thanks!
