Summary: Rule on sender [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
We get 1.4 million bounces a day to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This was never a valid
address. Any
mail claiming to be from this address is guaranteed spam, 100%, no fp. If
we're getting 1.4 million
bounces, it is hard to imagine how many messages the spammer sends that we
don't know about.
Ordinarily blocking spam by sender address is either dumb or at best
shortlived, but this one's
different. The spammer has been at this for months.
Note well, [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the envelope sender in the spam. The header
From: is
different (in examples I've seen it's a common first name @cs.columbia.edu).
