The http bug as reported to infra by Justin on August 2009 (our alpha2 release) is still affecting the .md5 and .sha1 files served by people.apache.org: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2177 I added a comment to that ticket, don't know if that will help. Mark
