          Priority: P2
            Bug ID: 6822
          Assignee: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
Summary: Masscheck code needs to be unified & updated
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows 7
          Reporter: kmcgr...@pccc.com
          Hardware: PC
            Status: NEW
Version: SVN Trunk (Latest Devel Version)
         Component: RuleQA
           Product: Spamassassin

Need to unify and update the mass check script.

This will require looking at
http://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/auto-mass-check.git/log/ which several people
use.

With this unification we can look at resolving bug 6821 / bug 6753 and pushing
out an official masscheck script. The hodge-podge of current scripts and
versions has led to analysis not being used.

One problem with http://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/auto-mass-check.git/log/ to
note:

Line 163 kills on FreeBSD machines - we don't have seq

I can install seq2 easily enough, but the binary will still be wrong. We do
however have jot which uses the same syntax so perhaps a variable for the path?

Additionally, the generate-new-scores should use the
http://rsync.spamassassin.org/nightly-versions.txt to determine the expected
SVN, not the latest from uploaded logs.

I've emailed the people who handled the fedora version to see if they want to
help with the unification.

Just documenting the need for now as things gel over the weekend.
