By parsing Received header fields. Even if last mail hops were
over IPv4, a mail message may still have traveled through,
or be submitted from an IPv6 address.

Besides in a mail header section, IPv6 addresses may be present
in URLs found in a mail body, or be fetched indirectly through
DNS lookups. One can no longer live in a padding of an
IPv4-only installation, thinking that IPv6 won't be affecting him.
