Sorry I just don't buy it. In what kind of environment an administrator can customize SA, but doesn't have root permissions to install or configure a resolver? No one has commented in the bug in years that they would need this feature (.. which is inferior compared to a resolver, even admitted in the patch description). Of course anyone is free to polish the patch into current trunk, and it can be then considered.
