            Bug ID: 8189
Summary: SORBS no longer works in SPAMASSASSIN
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.4.6
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Rules
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: Undefined

According to this official page

  https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/spamassassin/DnsBlocklists

the support for DNSBL in the default SA configuration includes SORBS.

I installed SpamAssassin version 3.4.6-1 (Debian 11) in production and after
two months I can say that SORBS feature does not work. All the others listed in
that page such as Mailspike, SpamCop, Spamhause are working.

In /etc/resolve.conf I don't use any public DNS servers, just the local one.
After I receive an email I use DNSlytics to check the DNSBL of the IP address.
Although it appears in dnsbl.sorbs.net, the SA rule is not applied.

I consider this a bug and I think it should be solved, because there are a lot
of situations when SORBS was the only DNSBL that listed an IP address and thus
increased the chances of blocking SPAM.

Thank you.
