Agree, this is normally deployed as a Maven plugin rather than a manually
run Java program. I can provide that config if interested. Of course we have
this wrinkle with also trying to support SBT. Another possibility: don't yet
integrate this check but fix up what it finds now and make that a part of the
release process.
