Btw the reason I'm +1 on this is that we should try to upgrade these things
going into 1.0 so we don't end up with super old versions of everything as the
1.X wears on. If we find there are a lot of conflicts we can always shade this
down the line (or user apps can shade it)... but let's deal with that when we
hit the issue and not let it prevent progress now.
