Thanks Akhil! For the one where I change the rest client, how likely would it be that a change like that goes thru? Would it be rejected as an uncommon scenario? I really don't want to have this as a separate form of the branch.

Relay proxy would be much easier, adding authentication to the REST client would require you to rebuild and test the piece of code that you wrote for authentication.
