This PR fixes a long standing issue/improvement (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-25050) where the AVRO writer does not support complex unions which are supported by the AVRO reader. This PR extends the AVRO writer so the capabilities are lined up. All feedback is more than welcome.
