will remove main method, but perhaps we can file a follow up jira to cover
all these helper functions since this PR is pretty big as it is and I have a
include a unit test that tests the end to end functionality of CGroups. A lot
of the CGroups code came from JStorm, but I was unable to find any unit tests
for them in JStorm. Perhaps some that worked on JStorm can shed some light on
whether there are individual unit tests for these functions
