Please note that it also opens the possibility to make metrics filters
plug-in.
Since downside of making it plug-in is that configuration will be a bit
complicated, and I don't see other filters for now so I don't make it plug-in.
But fixing it should be fairly easy, so if anyone can see the benefit
please let me know.
