Is this related to the task to create a Trident spout within storm-kafka-client
(referenced in "Future work" at the bottom of
https://github.com/apache/storm/tree/master/external/storm-kafka-client).
I'm not entirely clear on the release plan of storm-kafka and
storm-kafka-client, but I use Trident and want to integrate with Kakfa
0.10.0.1+.
I'm happy to either assist making storm-kafka suitable for use with kafka
0.10.0+, or to write a Trident spout in storm-kafka-client, depending on what
the strategic view is.
