Build error: Apache Stratos

Hi,
I'm facing an error upon building Apache Stratos

"java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not parse thrift client configuration
        at
org.apache.stratos.common.test.ThriftStatisticsPublisherTest.createDASLoadBalancingDataPublisher(ThriftStatisticsPublisherTest.java:64)"

Any insights as to why this is so?

What I have tried so far :
 >I downgraded oracle jdk and jre from 1.8 to 1.7
 >Tried building in a new m2 repo
