The main use case I'm looking at is setting up a local development environment for stratos. My environment will run in a vm, so setting the hostname is annoying, but not a show stopper.
Other devs may want to setup stratos directly on their development machine. Puppetinstall will be a problem if their host name is preallocated by the organisation's network team. So these stratos developers will need to manually setup puppet, which is something we have been advised not to do.
