I see nothing wrong with Matt trying to widen the field. I'm sure there are members of 
the Tiles community that read Matt's (very fine) blog that don't subscribe to this 
list or the User list.

Personally, I commend Matt for this initiative, and I do hope he follows through on 
setting Tiles up as its own distribution.
