Just to answer the question about status, RESOLVED/FIXED means that we have applied 
the patch or integrated the change.

So, yes, only a Committer should set the status to RESOLVED/FIXED, since Committers 
are the only ones who can make changes to the codebase.

When you create the ticket, just leave the status at NEW. If we make a change, we'll 
also change the status then. If a change was deemed unnecessary, then we'd use 
"INVALID" or "WORKS FOR ME" as the resolution status.

I'll look at the patch tomorrow night, unless someone else beats me to it.
