http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34685 [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-04-30 05:42 ------- I am -1 on adding this and here are my reasons: * The whole logic in this doesn't make sense. A form on a webapp is used to "edit" data. Why "show" data in an "editable" form if you cannot actually "edit" it? * Besides the above confusion, hiding a submit button does not _actually_ stop the user from submitting a form (if you have to ask why or how, please do so on the user list, not the bug tracking system) I agree that doing a bunch of tests in the jsp so that you can write out data as plain text vs. writing out a text box in a form can be tedious and error prone, but what is proposed here is just not an acceptable solution. That said, I closing this as won't fix. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
