The clay symbol delimiter requires a single @ prefix character but you can 
adopt a more descriptive symbol strategy using a beginning and ending 
delimiter.  The replacement code simple looks for symbols by scanning for 
an @ character.  The rest of the token can be anything.
 
Consider @[EMAIL PROTECTED], @[EMAIL PROTECTED], @(a)@(ab)
