The CGLib enhancement is already completely optional-- you do not have to include cglib-nodep-2.1_3.jar in your webapp. It works if you include the jar and use the new 'enhanced' attribute in struts-config. The comments on r345179 indicate that this could be moved to extras: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=struts-dev&m=113219888632323&w=2 Bug# 37301 looks like an enhancement request to me... I don't think it should prevent a release. So we just need to resolve Bug #37730 (serialization) one way or the other. Laurie, any comments on all this?
