The overall "ant clean release" should now build successfully even if htmlunit.home is not defined. Be sure to review the changes to build.properties.sample if you *do* want to compile with HtmlUnit -- you'll need to define two extra properties that are rev-locked to which HtmlUnit version you are pointing at.
