I don't see the harm in keep the all distribution. Today, we have -all and -lib. We're just finishing the job with -docs, -src, and -webapp. :)
Do most projects that offer -src and -bin distributions also offer a combined one? Keeping -all means everything in its assembly descriptor is duplicated in one of the other descriptors. That means we have to test 'can you build it from the source distribution' twice. And it's just huge, it takes forever to upload. (Waiting for it now...) See STR-2911 (r421507, r421509) for the new assembly descriptors, and new snapshots here (soon): * http://people.apache.org/builds/struts/1.3.x/assembly/ The descriptors and the assembly contents need to be reviewed, both for anything I may have missed, and for unwanted contents. I noted in passing that the myfaces jar is still in there, but haven't had time to deal with it.
