Hmm...so all the disadvantages of a snapshot network call, but no benefits. Well, could we add an antrun task to remove the snapshot from your local repository when not in offline mode, or at the least, add a goal to clean it out manually?

It checks, but it doesn't "find" them, even though the -SNAPSHOT is newer.

The way to force it is to remove the non-timestamped snapshot from
your local repository.

I'm not sure if it's fixed in svn for Maven 2.0.5 or if it's deferred
to 2.1... in general if I'm using snapshots, I'm building it myself,
so it doesn't usually cause a problem.
