I dont' see the benefit of JXP yet myself, but this sort of thing
simply doesn't matter. It's open source, and if there's a problem, we
fork and apply the patch ourselves.

Suppose it was Spring we were talking about. You're saying that you'd be OK
with forking Spring and supporting it as part of Struts? Sure, JXP is on a
much smaller scale, but the principle is the same.

I think the bigger danger would be relying on other projects to solve
our problems for us.


We're doing that already.
