agreed. but such is life. the more I read the archives, the more I
think we need a tight ship. If we go with this approach I think I'll
even suggest in the charter that we release all components of WC
together as one release (much like struts2 is released together along
with it's plugins).
I think that (eventually) an Apache Web Components project should be
topic-centered (the web) and cross-platform (not only Java EE, but also
JavaScript, AJAX, and the "evil" .NET :-) ).
Perhaps, but I'm not yet convinced. . .I could see us extending the
charter to allow ajax components. Perhaps we should say dependent on
Servlet/JSP or JavaScript. I just think we'll have a harder time
getting approval if we look like a "catch-all". It will also be much
harder to manage.
