The Struts User Group has disolved hasn't it? Just AJUG these days?

Pretty much, yes. It was renamed to The Atlanta Web Users Group some time ago, but things never really took off. I was hoping to put together another coding competition this year, but as always, life has other plans for me.

Bill and I work together on a Rails project and James H and I work together on a different one (JSF moving to Struts 2), so we all still keep up with each other. It's been a few months since I last spoke with Chuck though. I'm sure he, Brian, and Jill still keep in touch.

Good to hear from you!

Thanks all.
I didn't mean to sound too ignorant.
Haven't kept up with the state of the board and wasn't sure how the
separation of Struts 1 and 2 was going.

And... like an idiot missed the help FAQ... went for the volunteers link.
Already in JIRA and will see if there are any nuggets to work on.
I've got 4 developers on project... will see what we can do to help the
project.

James,

I know of you more than you know of me I am sure. ;-)
I've worked with Bill Siggelkow and Jill Entinger (and through association
to Chuck)

Travis, you've found the right spot. The dev@ mailing list is where all of
that
goes down. All the help you can give is welcome.

It would be especially helpful if you were able to help implement some of
features listed in JIRA or fix some of the bugs there.

http://issues.apache.org/struts/

The best way to get code submitted is to create a patch file and attach it
to a
JIRA ticket.

If there is not a ticket open for something you're interested in seeing
implemented, you can open a ticket and setup the discussion there.
Generally, it
is best to use JIRA to drive the discussion. That way we have an easily
accessible catalog of everything that has been discussed.

On a side note, I noticed Spunlogic is in Atlanta. Myself and fellow Struts
committer James Mitchell are also in Atlanta.

Board,

I see dev, issues, and commits mail lists.

Are there any others?

Is this the board to discuss development concerns for the project?

Meaning I want to vet ideas, implementations and customizations against
those with more knowledge and experience of this framework.

I'd also like to volunteer services while I am on this project which is
utilizing Struts 2 in development for the next year.
