Yes, a big plus of hosting the plugin sites elsewhere is that its
possible to have a lower bar.

If these sites started to merge together into a a larger S2 plugin
site, it might be even easier for people to work together on various
plugins. It would make a great deal of sense for the GWT, JSON, Dojo,
and YUI plugins to all be part of the same site.
