I'd love to see that as well, since we were half-way there with Bob creating a new API that would even shield XWork classes, drastically simplifying the API surface area for Struts users. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of work to be done, and as it would greatly affect all Struts applications, the earliest it could be introduced would be Struts 3.
