Sorry it took so long to get back on this, I've had a long day :(

Anyhow, to allow messages from hudson, as mod (you, Dave), you have to send an 
email to 

commit-allow-subscribe-hudson=hudson.zones.apache....@struts.apache.org

I think, once that's done, you'll allow hudson to post messages to commit. 
I've configured Hudson to fail (it tries to run `mvn throw_an_error`), so once 
I see a message posted to commit, which should happen at some point, since it 
will continually fail until I fix the build, then I'll fix it and we'll know 
it's working.
