Hi, A bit strange, I've downloaded the war from people.a.o/builds and deployed to Tomcat and it works like a charm. Launched jetty:run from the source of rest showcase (local copy of 2.3.6 tag) and works as well.
Next I've tested on Weblogic and got the same problem as you :\ Looks like a configuration issue.
