Hello Struts2 Team,

I am currently working on Application Development using Struts2 Portlet
framework and found that it support majority of the general feature
required for Portlet Development. It has made great progress, if compared
with IBM Struts Portlet Framework; by coming out of the Servlet Context and
having pure Portlet concept implemented.

However I found certain drawbacks, -

1. Unavailability of a good tutorial, or boot-up article. If you compare
other UI based framework like Spring, Struts2 Portlet Framework falls
behind in terms of official documentation availability.

2. Advanced features like Annotation Support is still missing. Still we
have to do lot of configuration in xmls, I have worked on Spring Portlet
Framework and find it better to use as it gives me flexibility of using
Annotation instead of XML based configuration. Having said this, Struts has
its own advantages over Spring. But this feature is something, which I miss
a lot while coding in Struts :).

I want to contribute to this framework but need partnering and mentoring
from expert group like your's. Please revert back to this thread if anyone
out there interested in any of these items.
