Do others agree?  The idea here is to do 1.8.1 without any fix for
chunked requests and finish that up for 1.8.2.  If sufficient people
agree I'll cut the tarball for 1.8.1 today.


-0. Of all the issues I've seen reported, the chunked request issue is one of most important to the client side. I have faith that the participating parties can reach consensus on a solution to that problem in short order, and the 1.8.1 churn would only be a distraction.
