nah, that's not what i meant i just noted that you get similar error when you link with ld in general like ld -o foo -lc foo.o > /usr/lib/crt0.o(.text+0x9d): In function `___start': > : undefined reference to `main' > collect2: ld returned 1 exit status > *** Error code 1 does other stuff compile fine? eg try cc -c -o foo.o foo.c cc -o foo -lc foo.o
