Thanks. I ended up trying that temporarily and it so far has been working. Glad to know it is the right way to do it.

for your user, so different users can have different wmii
configurations. wmiirc in /etc/ will be used when no file found in
users home, I suggest. Just copy wmiirc to ~/.wmii-3.5/ and customize
it as you want, you always can get default behavior by renaming wmiirc
in your home.
