Some People seem to like that, i do not. Thats why the patch makes the change optional. I agree that in case of htop its a bug, because both ways (st and xterm) are correct (as far as i know), so it should be usable without the patch. I also agree that the bold to bright behavior is ugly, but the bright colors themself are ok for me.
