Let me throw this in: > dmenu_run & sleep 1; slock The screen goes black for a moment, but then slock disappears (without dying) and you can use the computer again. This is a security hole. For example, my laptop executes slock when I close the lid. If I close the lid while dmenu is running, slock will have no effect.
